Welcome to Mobile Food Hub
We provide fresh, balanced, and nutritious meal boxes
At Mobile Food Hub, we’re on a mission to transform how communities access food and support services. We’re not just another food bank—we’re a movement dedicated to changing lives, building resilience, and creating lasting impact in Camden and beyond. Born out of a desire to tackle food insecurity, we are breaking away from traditional models to deliver something truly innovative and sustainable.
Our Journey – More Than a Food Bank
Our story began with the Camden Mobile Food Bank, where we provided essential support to residents facing food insecurity. However, we saw the need for a more holistic approach—one that not only feeds people but also empowers them, reduces stigma, and fosters a sense of community. That’s how Mobile Food Hub was born. We’re building a new model, one that blends compassionate support with modern technology, inclusivity, and long-term sustainability.
Our Mission – A Fresh Approach to Tackling Food Insecurity
At the heart of Mobile Food Hub is a simple yet powerful mission: to make nutritious, culturally relevant food accessible to all, while supporting the wider well-being of the communities we serve. We believe that food is a fundamental human right, not a privilege, and that no one should have to choose between eating and meeting other essential needs.
Why Mobile Food Hub is Different
We’ve developed a unique dual-service model that sets us apart:
Free Meal Boxes for Those in Need – For residents facing food insecurity, we provide fresh, balanced, and nutritious meal boxes at no cost, ensuring that no one goes hungry.
Paid Subscription Services – For those who can afford it, our paid meal subscription service offers convenient, healthy meal boxes. Each subscription directly funds our free meal service, creating a sustainable way to support the community.
This approach allows us to tackle food insecurity from multiple angles, creating a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable model.
How Our Model Works – A Sustainable Cycle of Support
Our model is designed to create a self-sustaining cycle:
Nutritious Meal Boxes – We prepare meal boxes filled with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and culturally diverse recipes that reflect the communities we serve.
Subscription Revenue – Paid subscribers help cover the costs of these boxes, with 100% profits reinvested to support free meal distribution.
Empowerment and Education – Alongside food distribution, we offer workshops, benefits advice, and employment support to help people build skills and confidence.
Community Impact – This approach reduces food waste, cuts carbon emissions by supporting local suppliers, and empowers individuals, creating a stronger, more connected community.
Who We Serve – Reaching Those Most in Need
Mobile Food Hub is dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable members of our community, ensuring that no one goes hungry or feels alone in their struggles. Our services are tailored to address the unique needs of diverse groups across Camden, reflecting our deep commitment to equity and inclusion.
Black, Ethnic, and Global Minority Communities
With 72% of our users coming from Black, Ethnic, and Global Minority backgrounds, we understand the deep, systemic challenges these communities face, from economic inequalities to healthcare disparities. Our meal boxes provide a vital lifeline, offering fresh, nutritious food that not only nourishes the body but also preserves cultural food traditions.
Older Adults
42% of our service users are over the age of 55, representing a significant portion of Camden’s aging population. We recognize that older adults often face isolation, mobility challenges, and financial hardship, which can make accessing healthy food difficult. That’s why we deliver fresh, culturally diverse meals directly to their doorsteps, ensuring they stay nourished and connected to their community. Through our cooking workshops, older adults can rediscover the joy of preparing and sharing meals, building confidence and reducing loneliness.
Families and Children
During the 2024 school holidays, we provided critical support to 44 children and their families across four local schools, including Edith Neville, St Mary’s, St Augustine’s, and Rhyl School. This program ensured that children who rely on free school meals during term time continued to receive nutritious food, reducing the risk of hunger and its negative impact on learning and development. We plan to expand this support, reaching even more families and children who need our help, ensuring no child goes hungry during the holidays.
Low-Income Households
Many of our users face the combined pressures of low wages, rising living costs, and housing instability. For these families, putting healthy food on the table can be a daily struggle. Our free meal boxes, packed with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, offer vital relief, helping to stretch tight budgets and reduce financial stress. For some, this support means the difference between making ends meet and facing food insecurity.
Empowering Our Community
Beyond providing food, Mobile Food Hub offers wrap-around support, including benefits advice, employment assistance, and cooking workshops. These services are designed to empower individuals, helping them build confidence, develop skills, and improve their overall quality of life. We believe that by addressing the whole person, we can create lasting change in our community.
The Power of Community – More Than Just a Meal

At Mobile Food Hub, we know that food is about more than just nutrition—it’s about connection, dignity, and hope. Our services go beyond meal distribution to create a supportive, stigma-free environment where everyone feels valued.
In addition to food, we offer cooking workshops, benefits advice, and employment support, empowering people to take control of their health and their futures. By helping individuals build skills and confidence, we create a ripple effect that strengthens the entire community.
