Mobile Food Hub Is Becoming a Charity — Help Us Fight Food Insecurity
Become a Trustee
Who We Are
Mobile Food Hub is a community-driven initiative tackling food insecurity, food poverty, and access to healthy and nutritious food across London.
Born out of frontline crisis response, Mobile Food Hub has grown into a tech-enabled mobile food bank and community food programme designed to meet people where they are physically, socially, and economically.
We combine:
Mobile food distribution
Community partnerships
Digital referral systems
Subscription food support models
Community engagement and wellbeing initiatives
Our work restores more than cupboards — it restores dignity, choice, and hope for individuals and families experiencing hardship.
As the cost-of-living crisis continues to impact vulnerable communities, our mission has never been more urgent.
What We Do
Mobile Food Hub operates as a modern, mobile food support service responding quickly to local need.
Our services include:
-
We provide healthy and nutritional meal kits - with all the ingredients needed to cook a meal from scratch, directly into communities experiencing high levels of deprivation and food poverty.
-
We work with local authorities, charities, and community partners to identify and support residents in crisis through structured referral pathways.
-
We offer a dignified, sustainable model allowing those in crisis to access free food support, while low-cost subscriptions help subsidise community provision.
-
Cooking sessions, nutrition education, and community engagement activities that promote health, wellbeing, and food resilience.
-
We collaborate with supermarkets, food suppliers, and distributors to reduce food waste while increasing food access.
Through innovation and technology, we are building a future-ready food aid system that goes beyond traditional food banks.
Why We’re Becoming a Registered Charity
Mobile Food Hub has been operating as a flagship project — but demand, scale, and impact have outgrown our current structure.
Transitioning to a registered charity and Company Limited by Guarantee will allow us to:
Apply for larger national and institutional funding
Strengthen governance and accountability
Build long-term financial sustainability
Expand services to reach more communities
Develop strategic partnerships
Influence food poverty policy and advocacy

Becoming a charity is not just a legal change — it’s a commitment to deepening our impact in the fight against food insecurity in the UK.
It positions Mobile Food Hub as a standalone organisation focused solely on tackling hunger, nutrition inequality, and community wellbeing.
